This information is to aid in correctly completing the application for employment with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office. An incomplete application may cause your name to be removed from consideration. Willfully withholding information or making false statements on this application will be basis for rejection by, or dismissal from, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Please understand that it may take several weeks before a final decision is made regarding your employment. Upon submission of this application, it will be reviewed by HR staff and contact will be made regarding the next step in the process.
Applicants will be given careful, fair, and equal consideration. You will be notified if and when an interview is required. If you’re not accepted for employment for any reason, you may re-apply after one year. There are several reasons why you may be removed from the hiring process. Before You Begin
Completing the entire application may take some time. Please be sure you can answer all questions and that you have a reliable internet connection.
You will need a list of your residential history, work history, and six references (including a phone number and address for each).
You will need a copy of your driver’s license, birth certificate, social security card, GED/diplomas, college transcripts, military discharge (DD214), and any other specialized training (POST, others). Applications will not be considered until all paperwork is complete.
